Yes, I am mourning my belle New Orleans the garden. Thankyou for such a beautiful desription of such a typical slice of New Orleans garden world. Both my daughters live (lived?) there but in rented homes. One on Magazine, the other near the Botanical gardens. I spent so many happy times there. I hope do so again.On my site is a 7 page tour of New Orleans Botanical gardens that I pray at least has the Oaks still. From flood maps it looks to had less than 2 ft water. How long it stands will determine the amount of water dead plants-I know I will be sending plants and hope many others will also come the Spring. Yes Hope Springs eternally.
