Huh, I didn’t know about limnology! Comes from the Greek for lake, not the Latin for threshold. Kakutani is generally held to be the chief abuser, or at least the agent zero of limn abuse:

Michiko? As in Kakutani? I’m afraid I missed that reference. Limn is indeed a beautiful word but it has nothing to do with limnology, strangely.
As for the “contest”, it would be a horrible mess if I was asked to produce anything tangible out of my fantasy garden design. Sometimes sensibility overtakes reason??
